MISSIONS
This page will provide information on missions that we can support through our church or as individuals. This can be done three ways. We can pray and ask God to move in people's hearts and to make the work that others are involved in fruitful. We can give money to those causes that are needy. Without these two resources that we can so easily be a part of, it will be harder for God’s Kingdom to come, as we are told to pray. The third thing that we can and should do as God gives us the opportunity is to go ourselves.
Eagle, Alaska Flood Disaster Relief
Jack Vogt has been travelling to Eagle often on weekends to aid in flood cleanup. Call Jack or Jim at the City office for information on how you can help. Pray for the Eagle residents, and praise the Lord that several disaster relief agencies are planning assistance.
Agua Vida in Hermosillo (Living Water in Hermosillo)
Jack and Lucy recently returned from Hermosillo, Mexico. While there they worked with an established church, assisting in building at the church property, preaching, women's English class, and Kid's Club. They came to love the Mexicans and desire to continue serving there by staying in touch with them and returning next winter. One woman, M., has been in great need. Our church family was able to collect funds to assist her family, and we recently learned that her debt has been met in full! Praise the Lord! Prayer is needed, as many in the church there are needy, especially in this difficult economy.
